For 1950 the grille vertical division bars found on the 1949 Chevrolet was deleted, except for the new triple ribbed type directly under front parking lamps. Hood emblem and hood ornament was restyled as part of their
"Smart Styling".

An attractive face lift characterized the 1951 Chevrolet. By moving the parking lamps into the lower grille opening under the headlamps a wider look was achieved. "Chevrolet" was written in script on the chrome grille frame molding.

A new grille for the 1952 Chevrolet Styleline and Fleetline had five vertical bars that soon became known as "Chevrolet Teeth". The word Chevrolet trimmed a wider new hood emblem, which still had a popular "bow-tie" logo.
