The new 1952 Styling was particularly noticeable in the Bel Air. The Bel Air 2 door hard top added a little class to the 1952 Chevrolet line. It was a car that people compared to Cadillac's Coupe-de-Ville 2 door hard top. However, the Bel Air was a car that sold for $2,000.00 less than Cadillac's best. Cadillac sold only 11,165 units in 1952. While the 1952 Chevrolet Bel Air sold 74,634 units.
1952 Chevrolet Bel Air Like all the 1952 Chevrolet Styline Deluxe models the Bel Air had fancy chrome rear fender gravel shields and painted fender skirts, just like the 1950 Bel Air and 1951 Bel Air. In addition extra trim ran along the rear fender. The new grille for 1952 is bold and had teeth. Both the rear taillights and front parking lights were fresh and examples of new styling indicated in magazine advertising. Style number 1037 or model 2154 was known as a two door pillarless hard top coupe.
