1952 Classic Chevrolet "Styleline Deluxe Convertible"

The big event for 1952 was the introduction of the 1952 Chevrolet Convertibles with 10 new body colors and 10 new top colors. All of the 1952 Chevrolet Convertibles were trimmed the same as all Deluxe models.
As styling became more important to the Chevy customers, Chevrolet changed the grille to a simple center bar that had some teeth and redesigned parking lights. The change was minimal and the basic appearance was the same as the very popular 1951 Chevy Convertible.
However, major changes were in the works for the 1953 Chevrolet and 1954 Chevrolet Convertibles.

1952 Chevrolet Convertibles sales literature promoted - "The most colorful performer in the low priced field!" this same sales literature also claimed that "Chevrolet for '52 introduces a low price to match the brilliant smoothness of new centerpoise power and the new softer ride."
Restored 1951 Chevy Convertible
Due to Korean War material shortages only 11,975 1952 Chevy Convertibles were produced, down 8,000 units from 1951. The factory price of the 1952 Chevrolet Convertibles was up almost $300.00 to $2,113.00. Only the 1952 Chevrolet Station Wagon cost more at $2281.00. Promoting price this magazine ad claimed "Lowest Priced in its Field - This big, beautiful Convertible lists for less than any comparable model in its field."
